What happened to the original worm?
The thing that crawled out of the crater what happened to that?? It was still moving about even after it shot another worm at the guy. Where did it go?

yeah, but what he was saying is that if you actually watch the movie all the way through, past the credits, there is an extra scene which has the original organism that the whole thread is about.
shareseems like we hav Slither 2 with Cat Zombie,, lol
shareAha i missed the extra scene, cool, but thats not the thing i was talking about. That worm in the guys brain at the end originally came from a fatter worm thing that crawled about on the ground, that fatter one is what i was on about, it was still moving about after it shot the worm into the guy.
shareI came to the same conclusion as frieda2133...
seems like the most logical answer, especially consider that its a fairly typical way that insects hatch... there is probably some giant "slither" on some distant planet that has consumed that planet and now just fires out these pods like a dandelion and proceeds to die...
And even though the ending does leave you with cat, this ending doesnt really make sense, or at least isnt alluded to in the movie, you'd think that all the little worm/slithers that may have still been roaming around would have fell dead when the main (Grant Grant) died... however considering that no worms were in the area when he died, perhaps the worms survive that.
If/When they make a sequel, I hope its at least partially a prequel, or possibly more extensive/complex... such as this time its "successful" and earth ends up similar to the flashback/memory implant scenes... which, is wide open aswell, part of me wonders if the idea was that these worms are what killed the Dinosaurs... given that the memory implant scene was all large 4 legged creatures... such as, perhaps that large astroid belt by mars has many of these pods, and ocasionally some fall from orbit and enter earth...
But anyways, im just bored and rambling... and after all its more of a comedy than horror, or sci-fi...

no dum arse, the BRAIN of grant was lying after being blown up, and the original creature was inside it, it got inside a cat after that
This is YOUR LIFE and it is ending one minute at a time!
