The clip you're looking for goes like this:

Go to the "Extras" part of the DVD.

Select "Screenplay."

Below the listed instructions, sort of to the right of center, there's a Leslie Vernon mask that can be selected. This is the easter egg.

Another easter egg is in the final page of the scene selection menus. Right next to the box showing the 16th chapter selection (titled "End Credits"), next to the lower right hand corner, there's a little hand scythe that can be selected. It shows a deleted scene in which Taylor asks to see inside Leslie's anchor home, and Leslie tells her that it's too scary.

I streamed it from Netflix, so I don't have access to the Easter egg. Can someone describe it? I am assuming since he knew it was going to be a part of the plan from the beginning, he customized the machine...but would like to know if I am correct.

SPOILERS HEREIN:

He didn't customize the machine. He just made Taylor think she was crushing his skull by crushing a walnut shell while she worked the machine.

Really, the easter egg shows very little. It basically changes the camera angle a little so that you can see him crushing a walnut shell when you think his skull should be crushed. That's it.

Wow never knew there were Easter eggs on the disc... that's brilliant haha. i knew he planned to fake his death seeing how he wore fire retardant gel and there was conveniently gasoline and matches in the shed.
Whoever dislikes this movie really has no sense of great horror films. Leslie Vernon deserves his own sequels now... taking place at the house and possibly revealing a few more "tricks of the trade" if you will.

ALSO SPOILERS:

After watching it over, there is nothing to suggest that he DIDN'T customize the machine to make it appear deadly, when it really may have been relatively harmless. After all, he worked out all his plans meticulously. When he shows the film crew some of his "insider tricks", he's very likely showing them only half of everything because it's strongly implied that Taylor was his Survivor Girl from the beginning and everything he did was a lead-up to that night.

The war is not meant to be won... it is meant to be continuous.

Ah man thank you so much Cooper! I suck at finding easter eggs!

Call me crazy but I want at least a taste of heaven, before an eternity of hell.
