Do they explain why... (Spoilers)
Taylor is a virgin? It seems odd that someone her age would be a virgin without some kind of religous reason.
The abyss gazes also into you.

Tina Fey was a virgin till she was 24, and not for religious reasons.
The war is not meant to be won... it is meant to be continuous.
No, they don't explain it. It's been a while since I've seen the movie but doesn't she wear a cross?
Anyways, someone her age being a virgin IS weird, even with some kind of religious reason.
Closest I can think of, there's a line about how she's devoted her life to journalism.
shareI don't think she was actually a virgin. I think it was more she was symbolic of the "virgin". As in she was the target/survival girl the whole time. Not that she was actually a virgin.
That's just my take on it.
the virgin in this movie was not meant to be someone who hadnt had sex before. it was supposed to be a symbol of innocence. she was the good girl. the one that had bigger plans in life than getting laid and doing drugs/drinking. that is what the survivor girl is supposed to be. that is why they talk about the end, when the survivor girl runs through the apple orchard that is supposed to be like the birth canal. the innocent survivor girl shedding her innocence and becoming a strong woman. she may or may not have had sex. but she was in fact innocent, and more concerned with being responsible and working than partying and sex. that is how all of the "survivor girls" in slasher movies are portrayed. very few of them accually call the girl a virgin, or show proof of this. but they do show her being more responsible than her friends, and fighting off the advances of the horny guys.
shareMaybe she's asexual...
Witty closing remarks have been replaced by massive head trauma and severe hemorrhaging.
How old is she supposed to be? I don't recall her age ever being mentioned.
And I don't find it odd at all. I've known quite a few girls who were in their 20s and virgins by personal choice. Nothing to do with religion.
