Craig Ferguson's legacy

Corden has done better than expected and critics haven't wasted time putting the knife in Craig. Piers Morgan in a Daily Mail article described him as snarky, slightly tense and irritable. This latest article depicts him as a cantakerous gremlin and although broadly positive about him puts him together with Letterman as an example of the old fashioned type of host whose time was up. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/03/james-corden-throws-a-party-on-the-late-late-show.html

Myself I hope the type of show Craig did isn't consigned to the past and that talk shows with witty, incisive laid back presenters rather than frenetic meme chasers will return one day.

Morgan's a c-word so his opinion is invalid.

There's far more substance in someone like Ferguson than Corden for me.

It's partly an age thing but Corden's all a bit too "cheeky-chappy" for me.

Like Craig used to say about Bieber and the likes "It's not for me. It's not meant to be my demographic it's for" and that applies to Corden (and Fallon too) for me.

Piers had clearly never watched the show. The show was many things, but it was NOT LIKE ANY OTHER TALK SHOW on the air then or ever. He sort of followed the formula but just enough to make fun of it.
