Not like any other late night show

With Cordon's show now basically a continuation of Kilborn era LLS (screaming audience, celebrity adulation, bad dancing, goofy sketches)this show seems more stand-alone than ever. What made this show unique for me, apart from the lack of pre-planning of course, was the barely controlled anarchy which felt like a throwback to UK children shows like The Magic Roundabout, Tiswas or Rainbow. What do other people on here find stood out on his show?

The interviews, always the interviews.

At times, it could be annoying that there was a guest on and Craig was joking a bit too much but I'd take that every time over "So what was it like to work on set with Tom Cruise...have you got any funny stories?" Letterman and Fallon chat.

Craig was at utter ease with pretty much any guest he had on. It was brilliant to get an insight to the lives of the guests you weren't going to discover anywhere else.

His natural comic talent, compared to any of his peers in the genre, made it all stand out too.

They're all presenters who "do" comedy. He's a comedian (and also became a natural at) doing a presenting job.

Yea. In that respect he was unique. You could see the people were off their guard and relaxed. They could be pretty sure that he wasn't going to ask them anything meaningful about whatever the studios were making them go there to talk about so he would just talk to them for however long about whatever and you could really see, in most cases, how much more people preferred id.

Best example I can think of off hand was Harrison Ford who HATES doing these things and avoids them where possible, was on the show, Craig asked him if it was any good, to which he replied it was, and then they talked about planes for 15 minutes at the end of which Craig asked him again about the movie to which Harrison replied 'I thought we already did that?'

And while he may be one of the more extremem examples, you got the sense that while it confused some, most loved it.
