I was a little underwhelmed but (possible spoiler)

I felt the same when I first watched Avatar which everyone seemed to rave about so make of that what will. Incidentally I like Avatar a little better every time I rewatch it.
It also annoyed me a little bit that it ended so abruptly and there will obviously be a part two - I did not know this before hand but let's hope they get the box office and actually make the next film.

Yeah it annoyed me since I was thinking that this would be touch and go to make enough bank to justify a sequel.

The film was all over the place.

Just watched it at home for the first time since I saw it in the cinema and it seemed a little better than I remembered. I think the smaller screen tones down the obviousness of the CGI - if that makes sense. Still no sign of a sequel but there are recent articles with Robert Rodriguez speculating about it - then again he may be speculating about many many things and who knows how likely it is that anything will come of it?

You watched it too on channel4 huwdj :)?

reply

Yep. Spotted it in 4OD pages and just gave it a go.

ya it was all over the place. and what was with that sport she competed in in the finale?? am I supposed to care? it just feels so out of place in what is happened. theres already an assassin droid out to get them.

it like if in Matrix 1 Neo took time out to compete in a literal soccer game. I dont care about it. because the stakes of the other event are soo much higher.

I really liked this movie and I was ready to hate it from the trailers. But I don’t like the ending at all. I hope they get a sequel.
