Everytime there is a new doctor, new companion or new showrunner - hate hate hate.

I guess the most painful posts are about the doctor becoming a female.

I really don't get it.

Since the reboot I got great entertainment from all seasons, all doctors and I liked all the companions - some more - some less - but it I was always looking forward to the next episode!

I love this show and they did a great job with it - imho.

I'm thankful for such a rare show on TV. It is a gem and nothing else compares to the
craziness and fun of Doctor Who.

Jodie Whittaker looks great as Doctor Who. The only bad thing about is, that we have to wait until autumn to see her in action.

Wish they filled the gap with Torchwood Season 5 ;)

That can be said about pretty much every show that does something new. The chronic complainers are the most vocal because it's in their nature. They also complain when a show stays the same that it's just rehashing old things repeatedly. That's why my own opinion of a show is the only one that matters to me. You'd go crazy if you are worrying about what everyone else dislikes about it.

I don't remember any hate with David Tennant, neither with Matt Smith, or with Torchwood, for what it matters.

And with Capaldi, there were some harsh critics, but not because of the actor but because of the decline of the series. Yeap, people hated how Dr.Who went down and became bad political propaganda. What's not to hate about that?

I recall there was some hate when Matt Smith was first announced. The fangirl fanbase was losing their heart-throb David Tennant. Some of them then turned their swoons to Matt Smith. Some still pined for Tennant. I don't think the real hate came until Capaldi "The Old Man" came.

With Torchwood I think the only hate came from it being for mature audiences.

I have heard that the Big Finish company is doing audio adventures for Torchwood Season 5.

I haven't bought or listened to any of the Big Finish stories. I'm not much into audio only shows. I do books and TV shows/movies but not much into listening to stuff.
