With the announcement of Toy Story 4, I now feel....

...that Pixar is becoming creatively bankrupt. After next year, when Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur release, it may be years before we see another original film from them because they have nothing on the horizon except unnecessary sequels: Cars 3, The Incredibles 2, Finding Dory, and now Toy Story 4.

It's like they're now just content to rest on their laurels and play it safe. Finding Nemo does not need a sequel in any way, especially not 10+ years later. I could have understood a sequel to The Incredibles if it came out around 2007, but it's simply been too long for me to be interested. Cars didn't even need one sequel, let alone two. And Toy Story 3 wrapped up the series perfectly, and it needs another sequel the least out of all of them.

I'm really disappointed. I've been a Pixar fan since the very first Toy Story, but now I have to admit that they simply aren't who they used to be.

Lol,you summed up my feelings exactly. I'm one for seeing certain movies as not needing sequels. They are great just as a stand alone with no further story telling, especially when there comes a bad sequel. Anyways, whether we want sequels or not, they are in the business to make money, and with Hollywood if something is popular, they tend to milk it til there's nothing left.
I feel most Toy Story fans would love to see more. Some, I believe, would love to see more but know when the sequels should stop. I find myself in that second category. As much as I love the franchise and would love to see another Toy Story, I do believe it wrapped perfectly at 3. So far, this plot I keep hearing for a 4th one scares me. Andy being played with by his toys? A role reversal so to speak. Sounds like a horror story :O

You guys do this every time a sequel is announced from Pixar.

No use crying because it's going to happen. Don't get your panties in a bunch until you see the first official trailer. Once the actual trailer comes out then you can get a good idea on if it's going to be amazing or not.
