They aren't, but I like to think that Emily is the aunt(father's sister) of Andy.

Both Jessie and Andy's mom would have recognized each other but did not. Enough said.

I was wondering about a scene with one of Andy's mom's friends and she casually calls her Emily, or maybe even Em, really subtle like. But maybe it's better left a mystery.
