This just proves that the House of the Dead series had potential as a movie franchise with the right people at the helm. This wasnt perfect but it was SOOOO much better than the first. They arent even the same series as far as I'm consernd.

Did you see a different movie then I did? I almost punched myself in the face for sitting through it. It was equally as bad if not worse for trying so hard to be better than the first.
shareIf you viewed this movie as a spoof of the Zombie genre and horror movies in general (there are load of under-hand jokes, such as when the Doctor says "Alone...Alone in the Dark" at the beginning) it's actually pretty funny. Far superior to HOTD as well as the Scary Movie franchise.
Just view it as a comedy piece and it's very good!

As long as Uwe Boll got left in the cold on it, this movie had a lot of promising elements to it compared to what Boll did on the original one. It's not a masterpiece, but it's far from being a great movie either & light years better than the 1st movie.
shareThe movie is still terrible. So it's not as bad as the first, that doesn't mean anything, it's still bad. The characters are awful. The plot is a mess. A couple of in-jokes and homages to better films does not make up for its total lack of anything resembling good storytelling.

shareMy family and I watched this last night and i actually thought this was pretty good. We really like zombie movies. Shaun of the dead and 28 days later would have to be my 2 favorites. The first HOTD to me was lame, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The blood in the mouth was pretty far fetched, not to mention he wiped it into there himself. Why???? Also I'm not quite understanding if the mosquito bitten dude was actually infected or not. I'd love to hear your answers on that. My kids are trained good enough that if they see boob, they duck. It was pretty funny, even though my 6 year old wanted to know what was wrong with that blond chicks boobs (obviously fake fake fake).
