Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.
*few spoilers*
Yeah - I went to a blockbuster last sunday, and saw this film in the shelf. Well, the cover art was pretty cool and the back side of the box promised a bloody zombie shootout. Also, it was a sequel to supposedly one of the worst movies ever made, so the premise sounded like a fun sunday night time killer.
Well - turned out I was wrong. I wasn't exactly looking forward to some art movie spectacle, but this one was just horrible.
First off, there was hardly any shooting in the movie and very little - if any - gore either. When the very idea of the movie is to be a gory zombie shootout but there's hardly any gore or shooting involved, I can't but shake my head.
Most scenes were incredibly stupid, like where they go to take a sample from the zero specimen and the college kids can't hear the horde of zombies creeping behind them? What about the supposed special forces, who are armed to the teeth that can't take out few walking corpses? Or the fact that the other people in the squad are infected when a zombie takes a glance at them, but the the two main characters survive despite being buried under a horde of them and hit with a freakin Tomahawk missile? Oh man - retarded retarded retarded.
The plot - well, there really was not a solid one to speak of, but then again, I was not even expecting one.
The dialogue was incredibly cheesy, although I would not have minded about that either, If the movie was a brainless zombie shootout I was expecting it to be.
The characters - laughable. A bad-ass rapper leading some special combat unit, a stupid yellowbelly, two strong female characters and a "good guy" with bad intentions plus some tough and clever pretty boy. That's original.
I can't believe that this was actually trying to be a half-serious movie. I hope I never even hear of this again.
