uumm.. WTF? Could someone 'enlighten' me a bit.

First of all. What the hell is the connection between this and the first one. I only watched the dvdscreener for 30minutes and told my chief that i dont want to see that crap. (i work in a video rental firm)
In the beginning, a party (again?). The movie is about a elite team going in to a mansion to blow the crap out of zombies.
And in this movie (again) the main characters are teenagers. WHY?

And hopefully the rating in the frontpage is just a joke.

your thinking about resident evil this is house of the dead, both based on video games but both very different movies

The only part of Doom (game) that had anything to do with a story line was the beginning and end, in the form of a block of text.

Doom was utter sh ite.

Films based on video games are utter sh ite.

But the video games themselves are great. Doom is a classic game. Still played today after 12 years since it was released.

I doubt anybody would be watching Doom the movie in 12 years time and still be excited about it.

There is a connection between this and the first film. I don't want to give too much away though as it would be a spoiler.

The film doesn't involve a mansion at all. Its a college campus.

Nor are teenagers the main characters. The two AMS agents and the military squad are the main characters (with the AMS agents being the primary ones)

Not to mention the fact that a party on a college campus isn't that big of a stretch and really had nothing to do with the rest of the film.

I'm not trying to defend the film as it was pretty bad but you just seem to have some misconceptions about the film.

I spent an entire hour watching Sci-Fi last night to see if they would show any previews of this... no such luck. Thankfully I already know what to expect: horribility.

You should have watched the Roar marathon the day. I think they showed the preview for HotD2 on every commercial break.

HOTD2 was really, really bad. I found myself wincing everytime the principal characters got covered in blood ( in one scene Ellis actually wipes it into his mouth) Now, I may not be the brightest person out there but Jesus! If your surrounded by Zombies with infected blood why the hell would you practically bathe in the stuff.Oh, and the script was bad too.

lesisgod, you are right that this movie was really bad. In the first of the movie I could at least laugh the movie. This one I just could not get over the bad writing and directing. The blood containmenation thing and the special effects for the building explosion was just horrible.

This was not much fun.

Thsi movie is connected to the original.

And they INSULT Uwe Boll's movie. I loled, this movie jsut became my favorite thing evar XD.

Professor Curien's daughter is the main character from the first House of the Dead that got into a sword fight with the baddie. She's the original zombie in this film.

just because you don't like a movie is no reason to murder people, and i for one thought this was a semi decent movie, not great one, but it kept me entertained, and that is all i ask for in a movie

NOOO!!! uwe boll is gonna butcher another movie about a video game. He is directing the far cry movie!! a good idea washed down the drain! huh, i guess we better hope they do a good job withthe Halo movie and the warcraft movie(warcraft is still just talk). and how does he bring her back to life?

Uwe Boll is a tool and complete waste of oxygen... why the hell producers keep giving this guy money to make 'movies' is beyond me. He needs to just stop it...

He most likely infected her with the zombie blood from the lab to keep her "alive". That's been a trendy thing to do.

There is also the ATS agent behind the desk in a wheel chair who was torn in half in the first film. It appears that she lived as well.

Professor Curien's *son's *girlfriend is the one that got into the sword fight. That's why at the end of the first movie, the guy identifies himself as "Curien."

You only watched a third of the movie and you ask this question? At least watch the whole film before you go searching for such information.

The info you want didnt come about until the last bit of the movie. Someone already put it as a reply on here...somewhere. LOL!

i have to agree that video games generally make poor movies. they only one that i thought even resembled the video game in similar plot was advent children. house of the dead was very bad and i think all of uwe bolls movies are very bad, there is no way i will ever watch a single minute of this movie

The only good really good video game movie, i thought, was silent hill. Its because it stuck to the original video game as much as possible. I havent seen HOTD2, and i'm not going to. It looks like a complete waste of time.

Ok the only thing I couldn't tie between the 2 movies was what the hell was up with Casper being in both of them. I mean seriously she got ripped in half in the first one and died. Then all of a sudden she somehow survives to be in the sequel wtf? It doesn't make sense. Ok perhaps since Rudy's dad kept his girlfriend alive maybe he brought Casper back to life, but that's the only possibility and if that's so then she should be a zombie too. I have no idea. It's so retarded.

A tenuous connection is made late in the film having to do with a survivor from the original. To add insult to injury, a different actress plays that survivor.
