Sid As The Professor, Bad Choice?

I just started watching it and I'm a little turned off by Sid as a professor, because I just can't see him as that after watching him in the Devil's reject and House of 1000.

Did anyone else find it hard to see him as a professor?

reply

Actually no. He seems like an intelligent man. I read that he was actually, at one point, a psychiatrist. In terms of his role as Curien, he should have had more screen time. He was pretty cool as a zombie, though.

Plus he's a horror genre staple. Having him in it seems somewhat natural.

Yeah, but because he was nothing like the game's Dr. Curien.

Appearance aside, they dropped the character's penchant for speaking in rhymes and the voices don't really match.

I'm going to shove coal so far up your stocking you'll be coughing up diamonds!

The character could be related to the Dr. Curien in the game. I keep hearing rumours about him having a brother named John.

reply

no not really, i could actuallyl picture that particular character doing that,, and i thought that his character deserved to live longer in the movie too.
are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

In the first House of the Dead, Uwe Boll implied that Rudy was actually "THE" Dr. Curien but they fudged everything up in both films.
