It's pretty sad when the straight to dvd sequel...

Is better then the theatric release original.

That's a big ten-four.

I like videogames. I like movies. In the name of both, Uwe Boll must be stopped!

Can't say it's much better but at least it makes a little more sense than the original.

I gotta agree with the first guy, much better than the original. I saw the original in theaters, I couldnt believe it made it that far lol. Anyways, this is the best sifi channel original movie I have ever seen, which isn't saying much but let's just say you shouldn't TOTALY dismiss this movie. before you see it.

Yeah, at least this one didn't have a sword fight at the end.

Why is that sad? You obviously don't know much about movies.

There are several reasons movies go DTV. The first House of the Dead got horrible reviews. It didn't just get bad reviews like some flick it was highly trashed and seen as one of the worst movies ever made. So why would the sequel go theatrical?

2nd its about marketing. Some movies even if great (not saying this is) just doesn't have mass appeal. Do you really think the Ginger Snaps movies would have been big hits in the States? They weren't even hits in Canada.

Or if say zombie movies aren't very popular right now and 2 are released and are huge flops there is a good chance another studio with a zombie flick will realease DTV to avoid spending millions in marketing.

And sometimes movies go DTV simply because they a terrible waste of good film.

FULCI LIVES!

Woah. This post just completely flew over your head, didn't it?

I think the point is that, usually, theatrical films are better than their DTV sequels. But that wasn't the case in this film series. House Of The Dead was horrible, yet it's DTV sequel was much better.

It's irony.
