Favorite book- very impressed by the movie.

This was, and kind of still is, my favorite book. So when my mom got me this movie for Christmas I was kind of weary, didn't think it'd be good. I was very pleasantly surprised by it. The memories were beautiful, I really enjoyed the characters (even the "bad" ones), the camera work was wonderful, acting was great from some. They did add a whole bunch of stuff but I was always very curious to see what happened in the community after Jonas left, so I liked that they enlightened it a little bit. Over all, very happy with it :)

A fabulous and underrated film that everyone should see. Did they take "artistic and dramatic license" from the book? Yes, but it was necessary and in my opinion, works for the film without compromising the message.
