Anyone do a trip home to find a wife?
American raised desi here getting the grief about going back for a week to find a wife. Anyone here done it like the dad? How did it work out for you?
shareI knew a guy from Bangladesh who did it. He brought her home to live in a basement he was renting. After a while we couldn't visit him anymore because she was always pissed off and she hated foreigners.

This is a common tendency among many Indians, who fly abroad to make a career and money, to return to get married and fulfill their parent's wishes. Of course, it goes without saying that, they can get married abroad too if they find love.
One of my friends, who currently resides in UK, came back to get married and after a short stay in India, went back to continue his work.
