The Spanish in the film is not subtitled?

I started watching the film but then noticed they speak Spanish at the beginning and it wasn't subtitled. So I turned on the English subtitles but it simply said "(Speaking Spanish)" during the scene in question, so I just stopped watching.

So my question is, is the Spanish dialogue supposed to not be subtitled or is my copy of the film just crappy for not containing them?

Thanks.

Drop it like it's legal precedent!

I've just watched it on HD DVD and the opening Spanish scene was subtitled. I'm not sure if they were forced or encoded into the video. Either way, I didn't need subtitles enabled to see them.

Talkin about the DVD, Some Spanish in the movie is not subtitled, but Most of it is.
I can't remember exactly if the first sequence is subtitled or not, but you should keep watching it. I don't see why your copy wouldn't be subtitled as well.

Just to say the first part Is subtitled.
Weird stuff.

some is, some isn't. The bit that isn't, IIRC, is just the Mexican girls offering the guys some coffee - no any major plot developments, don't worry.

The Weinstein Company Blockbuster Exclusive DVD has the English subtitles when they speak Spanish. Hopefully it will be subtitled when Vivendi Entertainment (which now handles The Weinstein Company catalog titles, while Sony Pictures handles with The Weinstein Company's current titles) releases it on Blu-ray in December.
