Were sylvia and mike already married? (Mike taking calculated risks????)

I was just wondering if sylvia and mike were already married in the flick and that he was jus taking calculated risks when he left the house 2 times.

First time: after sylvia found out about the fake phonecall on the answeringmachine

Second time: to go to mexico with jim.

Both times either he or she said: " I ain't here when you come back, so you better not go".

S*it, I wouldnt have the balls to leave my already tempered latina girlfriend like that (unless I was married to her), LOL.

So what was the deal????

I don't think they were married yet, but together long enough to where they might as well have been.

Sylvia has been putting up with Mike's incompetence for a long time I think. he screws up, she flips out, but she stays. SO I think it's safe to say Mike was taking calculated risks. I'm sure he knows there might be a time when she's had enough and never takes him back, but he knows there's a very good chance he can charm his way back in.
