Didn't like the ending

The ending ruined it for me, I would have rather seen it left open, bale's character leaving for Colombia, and nothing as melodramatic as was shown. Having done so would leave it open for audiences to extrapolate how everyone's lives would go on after wards, continuing the story and leaving our eyebrows raised, still raised upon leaving the theater, not allowing them to drop like the cliched ending did.

Eh... as it happens every human life has a somewhat cliched ending.
Which I wish it didn't ;)

It was the Climax and the Solution. Not every story needs it perhaps, but it brought closure.

I guess I somewhat agree, I wished Bale would get help and get better and go to Mexico marry his novia hermosa and live happily ever after.

I also wish that many main characters/protagonists do not die at the end of a story. But it makes it powerful. Like, you hate it happening but you have to love the story for it. Draws you closer to him because you know what little time you have to get to know him will all end. I liked it, plus if he got away with it, I don't know...

Good use of irony that it comes full circle back to like the first wrong doing he did in the movie, but silly that old gramps gets him with a shotgun. Also, somewhat of a divine intervention is depicted in the car, how the bullets only mortally wound Bale, and his friend Mike is unscathed. Kinda relates to the ending of Training Day... Karma..

I know this is a "sequel" kind of movie, but I would have love to see how Bale's character handle business in Colombia. That, I think, would make for a very compelling film.
