In an event like this, would you turn or remain?

Because basically, the film's about the downsides of immortality...
But do you see a downside?

I would change into a vampire, but I'd strive for the human'ss survival. But I don't want to live in a world where I'd be hunted and farmed.

reply

Why wouldn't they breed humans and have them donate blood as a requirement. Reusable resource right there.

reply

I don't think that had the foresight for such a thought when vampires initially took over... By the point they've reached in the movie, I assume that such a thing was impossible because of how much blood you can safely draw from people and the frequency with which it can be done.. Basically there aren't enough humans to sustain such a plan.

I would rather die then seek immortality.

reply

Then become obsolete and a thing of the past for whom nobody will remember? Like those old people buying second hand stuff from the 40's in those huge second-hand warehouses? In the twenty-first century?!

Well that's just your choice. But I don't agree with it for your sake.

reply

I agree with him. I'd rather die.

reply

Why do I care if people will remember me? I'll be dead.

reply

Immortality, to me, would be a blessing. There are ways out if it gets too boring or whatever (beginning of the movie) .

The question then becomes, would I be comfortable with being dying to feed me? Its not an easy question because like the meat industry it is kept out of the average person's life or experiences. People die all the time, they die in sweat shops so I can get $10 jeans at Walmart...

But another option is humanely farming the blood, through (albeit probably forced) blood donations which would really be nothing more than a slight inconvenience to most people. ... I'm guessing since they are keeping people in stasis as organic blood dispensers in the movie that isn't possible for some reason.

Running from the sun doesn't sound like too much fun.

Remain. Go vamp hunting during the day.
