is it only mirrors that don't reflect a vampire

Just wondering, because they go to great lenghts to highlight the fact that he has no reflection in his car wing mirror, yet it can be seen on the polished floors, shiny kitchen units and his car window/bodywork.

Maybe I'm mistaken, and it was only his clothes that I saw reflected, not his skin.

Anyone else notice this?

This movie is not well thought out, so don't even try to spot these things... they are aplenty.

I own you.

Yeah, you're probably right

its simple. the vampires don't have a reflection on mirrors because of how mirrors are made.

in most versions of the vampire myth vampires have an aversion to silver. most mirrors are made by glass being trated with non-toxic silver (along with other materials). its the silver in a mirror that stops the reflection.

the times in this film that you saw a reflection was on a surface not silver like aluminium or polished floors.

Daybreakers is supposed to be a sci-fi vampire adaptation. The mirror thing it's a selected fantasy adaptation. There can be no sci-fi explanation as of why humanoid hematophagic creatures won't have reflections, since they do have materialized form. Maybe that part was a filming mistake or an "easter egg".
