Anyone else a member of the Charlie Eppes fan club?

I haven't seen all the episodes, but my favorite thing about the show is the Charlie Eppes character -- smart, sexy, cool, etc. Rob Morrow and Judd Hirsch are also great playing the other Eppes men. I like them as a family unit and I think the family as a focal point is very original.

The problem I have with the show is that it is hard to juggle it's three main components -- FBI investigation, Charlie's mathematics and the interpersonal relationships between the many characters. I usually feel that I don't know enough about the case to really care if/how it gets solved. And while I love to see the Eppes men together, the wrap ups at the Eppes home that conclude every episode seem superficial and don't add value to the episode.

I like the episodes where Charlie struggles in his work. Maybe what I like least about this show is that it rarely breaks from it's formula. I wish it's approach was more like Medium, where it doesn't always wrap up so neat and clean.

I always preferred Don out of the two brothers but, like you, loved seeing the Eppes men bonding. That was the best part of the show.

However, like you, I wished there was more than just light-hearted bonding. I'd loved to have seen more into Don's perceptions of his childhood and being pushed into the background so their parents could focus on Charlie. We never really see him discussing this with either Charlie or Alan. I also wished they had broken from formula too and, perhaps, had episodes where Charlie had to deal with the fact that a few maths equations won't solve all the cases and sometimes people get hurt and criminals get away with it.
