Bah.. I started watching this show just 6 months ago

And I am already done with all the 6 seasons. I can't believe I didn't find out about this show earlier. I simply loved it. The chemistry between characters on this show is second to none.
But now its saddening that it won't be coming back. Oh well, I'll miss everything about this show, especially the characters. And I was almost in tears while watching the last episode.
What other shows have Numb3rs fans moved on to?

i only started watching this show this year too after seeing an episode on tv. Well some similar shows would be csi, csi miami, csi new york, ncis and ncis los angeles, all of them are really good. Theres also The Closer, Without a Trace and Cold Case which are also similar. All of them are about solving cases so you'll have to have a look at them if you get bored. I'm also a huge fan of House which i got into end of last year, which i love mainly because of the sarcastic humour. Hope this helps

You're so full of it. There is no *beep* way you can watch 6 seasons in 2 months.

reply

Sure you can. If you have a series marathon and watch a couple of episodes every single day :P I did this when I first discovered House and Veronica Mars. Trust me, you catch up really fast ;)

I carry your heart; I carry it in my heart.

who mentioned watching 6 seasons in 2 months? read the post dumbass, he said he started watching it 6 months ago, thats 1 season a month, not hard at all seeing as I watched it in probably less than a month, used to watch about 5 hours of numbers per night, which is about 8 episodes, sometimes more, then after numbers finished i got onto gossip girl which i watched 3 series in about 2/3 weeks, i did the same with house at the end of last year and then veronica mars beginning this year, then i realise after finishing them that they've been cancelled grr

'Marathoning' shows is fun!

reply

it is, but im all out of shows :( any suggestions? luckily the new series have started in usa of house, ncis, ncis los angeles, csi, csi ny, csi miami, gossip girl, desperate housewives and one tree hill so that does keep me busy, but only for about an hour or 2 a night lol

reply

Haha damn, you watch a lot of procedurals... I personally can't stand CSI type shows though Numb3rs was an exception =) plus I am more of a movie guy actually but I think you ought to check out 'Psych', really good laugh a minute detective show. though sadly, after 4 great seasons its going downhill :<
Among new shows this year I look forward every week for 'Raising hope', really cute show makes you go baawww :D

If you like slightly more intense drama, try 'Dark Blue' about an undercover unit. Excellent.

A 'High Five' is not something that should be attempted by the middle classes...

reply

Call me whatever but I really like having a show to watch every night and out of all the new ones this year only a few stuck.

The Event
The Whole Truth
Outlaw
Nikita
The Defenders
Undercovers

O.k so maybe not a few but there each only a couple of episode in so it should be no problem catching up.

Also, Hawaii Five-O is fantastic (if you're into procedurals)!

I've been watching it on netflix for less than a month and I am almost done season 5 and ready for season 6. Granted I have a lot of free time on my hands *chuckles* I don't really watch "live" tv so I find a tv series I like and all my tv time is spend on that. Lets say each episode is an hour (which its not only about 42 minutes) and you watch 4 hours a day, that's 120 episodes in 30 days so its more than easy to blow through 118 episodes of a show in a month or 2

The characterizations and the mathematics set this procedural apart from most of the others (none of which I watch on a regular basis). The procedural aspect of Numb3rs I found to be, aside from the infusion of math, formulaic, but I cared about the characters enough to stay interested. Plus, the guest cast was always stellar.

As I said, I don't generally watch procedurals. I'm more interestd in character-driven dramas like Parenthood and The Good Wife. My favorite new show is Raising Hope (and Terriers, which has already been cancelled). I often marathon shows I missed when they originally aired--I'm currently marathoning Six Feet Under, Sports Night, ER, Rescue Me, and The West Wing. Dexter and Psych are on my Netflix que. My favorite comedy is Modern Family.

Psych, Bones, White Collar, Criminal Minds, Raising Hope, NCIS (though that has always been on my list), Dexter (on Netflix, as I have no cable and Dexter isn't on Hulu), and I've been going back and watching Veronica Mars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Monk, Stargate: SG1 (all of which will prolly bring you to similar almost-tears when you run out... I know I can't believe any of them got cancelled!), and Eureka all on Netflix.

Sorry there's so many there, but each has something I love dearly: fun, laughter, humor, drama, good acting, smart writing, and (strangely enough, with the possible exception of Raising Hope) crime/BigBadGuy fighters.
