Liked the Original Premise Better.

The original was better in the regards that Blake & his crew were lured to their deaths through someone at the lighthouse leading their ship to be dashed on the rocks because they gave him a false signal that lead him to crash his ship. He never disembarked & he never met anyone face to face.

The exception to that of course is when he made the bargain he did so in person but we never see that in the original movie but it’s talked about when the priest reads from the diary. This movie IMO was dumb in how it reimagined it, that Blake was double crossed at gun point & then he & his crew were locked inside their ship & burned when it was set afire. The original’s explanation made more sense to me but respectfully I realize there may be those of differing opinions.
