the low rating on this. It was a great movie, but even saying you didn't like it, it certainly didn't deserve only three stars. I assume the bad rating was people that don't like remakes. The original was bad and that's saying something since I love Jamie Lee Curtis. She is one of my favorite actresses. This movie was much scarier, had great acting, and had an amazing ending and flashback scenes. I give it a ten. I still make sure to watch this every Halloween. It was a great horror movie. The original was boring and I do not care about any of the characters like I did on this one. I also see a lot of people hated the ending, but that was my favorite part. I enjoy twists and I enjoy that the ghosts were more of a threat and that the characters were far more complex.

A broken clock keeps better time than you do. At least its accurate twice a day.

I don't have a problem with remakes. The Thing is a remake after all. And I enjoyed other remakes, namely in more recent years, like Fright Night, Dawn Of The Dead, Star Trek (remake/reboot/alternate universe or whatever you want to call it), 3:10 To Yuma, Bad News Bears, The Crazies, The Invasion, etc. I wanted to like this, because if I'm going to spend a couple of hours watching something, I want it to be enjoyable and not a waste of time, but there's just no defending this unbelievable pile of steaming sh!t. I'd rather watch a remake of Jaws starring the cast of Glee than sit through this movie again. The characters were so unlikable I was actually rooting for the fog.

i gave it a 5, but by imdb standards its at lest 6

As for the original, it was lazy boring, had problem with pacing and acting, the makeup and effects were poor and it couldnt keep tension for one bit with how drawn out it was.
The open ending was a final slap in the face, i gave it 3/10

They added a lot of plot elements to this one, helped flesh out the story, but sadly, the ending makes no sense, i get what they were going for but still, come on.

I dont get the hate for this movie, saw a lot more worse ones this month alone with twice as good rating on here.
