So I can't compare the two. But I really enjoyed this one and thought miss Moretz did very well. Then again she is a very good actress anyway. I gave this movie an 8. It's certainly better than the crap I was watching before it "El Chupacabra"
shareThe first one was no great shakes, but at least it wasn't as claustrophobic, irritating and un-scary as this one. The first time I saw the 80's version it scared the crap out of me (it helped I saw it on a foggy night). Only thing that's better is that Tom Welling is much easier on the eyes than the man who was the other Nick Castle, and the actions of the mother make a whole lot more sense this time around.
