If I could I would punch Selma Blair right in the *beep* throat.
Jesus! what horrible acting. *beep*!!!

shareAGREED. Like is says in the trivia, I think Fergie would have done much better in that part, plus she has abit of that raspy voice just like Adrienne Barbeau, who let's face facts-was the sh*t in the original. That was a very important role in the story line and Selma just didn't do it justice.
Everyone's entitled to one good scare...
She really is no Adrienne Barbeau, she doesn't have a voice for radio.
shareletterz2001 likes to fantasize about violence against women. You can punch yourself in the throat. No fantasy needed.
sharewhile there are plnety things id like to do to selma blair, hitting her is not one of them
shareI think his point is punch her in the throat because he hates her DJ voice.
But you can get back on your self-righteous soapbox. No intelligence needed.
Love the original. Sure it didn't have fancy special effects etc. but it was spooky and oozed atmosphere. Adrienne Barbeau, Janet Leigh, and Nancy Kyes were great in it. Selma Blair was (to be polite) underwhelming as Stevie in the remake.
I think one of the main problems I have with this is the Elizabeth reincarnate/ Pirate storyline. It really wasn't needed. Why do we have to be spoonfed? We get an overly convoluted plotline instead of the awesome Campfire story from the original which gave us just enough back-story. Just my 2 cents...
I generally like Selma Blair but felt this wasn't the role for her. I just didn't buy her as a DJ.

Huh...guess I never thought about it that way. I'll pay attention the next time it comes on.
I just felt the Elisabeth reincarnation and Leper colony massacre thing wasn't really needed. If it was in the original (even mentioned) I don't remember.
