Brody did an excellent job
Afleck was his usual block of wood.
shareOn the contrary, I though Affleck was great, you can tell there's a lot of hard work behind his performance. Amd the scenes with Lane are for the highlight of thr movie, you really believe in them.
But although Brody is an amazing actor, I tend to think maybe he was miscast. He was not really believable as a private investigator, and the scenes with his son and ex wife didn't really convey anything real to me. Nevertheless, Brody does this thing with his face, he's so expressive, that you can't take your look away from him. This leaves me with a weird feeling about simo, a guy in pain investigating another guy in pain (both had father issues), and bitb of them are not really legit in their profession. But in the end, affleck conveys this way better, with brody I couldn't really make the connexion between him and simo. Affleck and Lane, I made the connexion from beginning to end, they were the characters they played.
Gosh, I really liked Brody's character & his story line because it dealt with a person (Brody) and his various investigations, not just the SUPERMAN investigation.
I think if the movie had just dealt w/ the REEVES investigation, it would have bored us all to tears, but interjecting the detective's life into this movie, made this movie more interesting to watch.
