There is much defending and praising Ben Affleck for his role but though I agree his acting was commendable, he was badly miscast as George Reeves.
Also as a fan of the old series, I was disappointed and can't understand a rating of 6.6. I would say closer to 5. The story could have been told in 30 minutes.
Disagree with everything - except Ben's good acting.
shareI actually thought Affleck was excellent in the role. He did a great job of showing vulnerability without being sanctimonious or overacting.
But, I do feel the film had a drag to it that made it hard to get through and I wasn't keen on Brody. I feel they could've just done a Reeves biopic with Ben and left it at that.
I thought Affleck was great as George Reeves. He definitely was not miscast, sorry.

Affleck wasn't trying to do an *impression* of Reeves here, nor was that required.
