...don't even get me started on the acting; it's horrendous! Ben Affleck is apoalling beyond belief and Adrian Brody is just killing time.

I'm enjoying it right now, it's noir-style. It's not an action- adventure loaded with Fx. You kinda have to slow down your mind to enjoy the noir-style storytelling

Yes, and I liked 'Chinatown'; 'LA Confidential','Mullholland Drive' and 'The Changeling'. 'The Black Dahlia' was boring in the extreme, and treated a real life event with utter contempt and got the appropriate 'criticism' it deserved.
I know 'Noir', and I know good films when I see them, and this wasn't one of them.
Incidentally, a great early 'Noir' film is 'Cry Wolf' with Barbara Stanwyck and Errol Flynn.

Instead of posting nonsense reviews about a great movie with great acting, perhaps you should take some English classes and learn how to spell words like appalling and self-aggrandizing (it can also be spelled with an s). Have a nice day...
