I am not a big fan of musical, but I noticed this movie has decent/high ratings on imdb.com, MetaCritic, and Rotten Tomato. Should I record and watch it since ABC is showing it for free on ABC tonight (almost seven hours away)? I saw the movie trailer, and it was OK. Nothing exciting for me. Is it worth seeing?

I am over 30 years old so I hope I get the jokes. I hope they're easy to get silly jokes? Hopefully, the first 20 minutes will get me into it. 1.5 hours to go! Maybe I will skip the musical parts since I am recording?

OK, I just finished watching my recording. It was alright. It reminded me of Glee, especially last week's Super Bowl episode, and others which I wasn't into too. I skipped most of the musical parts. Nice theme, colors, etc. though. John Travolta is quite creepy as a woman/mother. :/

It probably would've made more sense to you if you'd watched the songs, too. Unlike in Glee, the lyrics in Hairspray are actually relevant to the story.
