Anyone think John Travolta is actually quite cute in the role?

He added a bit of innocence to the role of Edna that was quite cute.

Definitely can't be compared to Divine's performance, but it worked in a very sweet, cute way.

His role has grown on me and I've come to respect him more as an artist because of it.

He made Edna a mass of insecurity, and it is just as valid as bombast.

He did a good enough Baltimore Accent,hon.

I think he played it vulnerable and sweet. Edna was different in the original as being brash and here brought his own style.

Adorable, actually. I have always thought he was highly underrated.
