Feel free to disagree, but I honestly believe this to be Kevin Smith's best work.

I walked into the theater in the summer of 2006 expecting mediocrity but instead walked away with a film that spoke to me and still speaks to me to this day. I'm a Smith fan from back in the day, but none of his other films have the same replayability as this one. From the music to the message and even the nostalgia, everything just clicks with me in this one movie.

Anyone else feel the same?

this is easily his most balanced and well produced work, whatever you may think of Chasing Amy or Dogma, etc... Clerks 2 was the film that most people thought would have been the worst and turned out to be one of, if not thee strongest work he's ever done. It is my personal favorite and I've seen them all, including Zack and Miri.

I'm not much on Cop Out or Red State, but if anyone else wants to pick up from there, great. Clerks 2 has a solid 7.5 on IMDB, edging out even Chasing Amy by just a bit... that ain't bad for Kevin. He does things his own way and Clerks 2 just works really well among the films he's made.

I put Chasing Amy slightly ahead of this one, but they're both 10s

Gonna have to disagree. Don't get me wrong, clerks ii isnt bad. It's better than red state, cop out, and jay and silent bob strike back. but clerks, dogma, and chasing Amy are light years ahead of this. Chasing Amy is my fav I think.

That's not saying much. This movie was poorly written and acted, and lacking in soul, wit, or humor of any kind. Terrible, terrible film.

The original "Clerks" was good but the rest of Smith's canon is awful.
