Should Charlie Bartlett get an Oscar nomination for Anton Yelchin? Maybe Best Actor in a Leading Role or something like that? Or due to the release date, is this something that would have been nominated for 2008 Academy Awards?

No.

Ryan Gosling and other young actors deserve nominations before Anton Yelchin does for this. I found Anton to be not lovable or sympathetic in his portrayal of his character, and this is disappointing moreso when the movie is baring the character's name.
