Charlie Bartlett's Day Off

OK, is it just me or did anybody else find this film an almost clone of Ferris Bueller? Smart arse kid, family issues, just wants to be popular, even has the principal on his ass all way through the film aswell. Dont get me wrong i really enjoyed the movie, it was like a more mature ferris buellers day off, but did anybody else not notice how much like Matthew Broderick he sounded?

Also just for a bit of fun look at the poster for 'Ferris Buellers Day Off' and then compare it with 'Charlie Bartlet' poster. I know, i *beep* you not my friends.

This is me at my most massochistic!

This Reminded me off Ferris Buellers day off! at some parts too! like when he was laying down with the shades on. I even said that to my friend when we were watching it.

But It definitely reminded me of Ferris Buellers day off.

Love both movies though.

if you ask me, they kind of spoofed a few movies in certain scenes, including ferris bueller, requiem for a dream... etc

Similar in those tones but its def moodier.

I hate how IMDb signatures look like part of the post.

It had some similar themes, but the two weren't identical. Their basic plots were completely different.

When I saw the trailer I said it looked a bit like a modern Ferris Bueller. The actual movie is MUCH different. Their two plots are very different while the characters share traits. I see the CHARACTER of Charlie Bartlett to be of the Ferris archetype, but the MOVIE Charlie Bartlett is much different.

The short one's gawking at me and the tall one's being very droll.

I wish all the Fanboys of the Earth had one throat and I had my hands about it.
