Screwy

A few amusing moments and winning performances from Yelchin and Downey do not take up the slack in this, a pointless, misguided, mishmash of a film. The ingredients for genuine screw ball farce are in place, and that would have been fun. But the story's improbable circumstances undermine Yelchin's quirky charm when the tale turns serious. Even Downey Jr. has to shift gears with a drunken gun scene. How could anyone think that this kind of scene in this kind of movie would be moving?
