Throwback to John Hughes

The film seems like a nice throwback to classic John Hughes films and other iconic films from the 80s. Yelchin's performance was magnetic and he seemed to be channeling some elements of Ferris Bueller. The directing, use of music and the editing all looked like something from that era, and that felt so cool.

I need someone to agree with me so I don't feel as terrible about myself for visiting the IMDb boards.

Don't feel bad. I agree with you. It was high school fantasy done well.

To me he's at his most "Ferris" when he expertly dupes doctors to prescribe him the exact drugs he needs for his customers. He plays them with ease.

I agree with you also. A good flick.

Mostly harmless.

You must be out of your freaking mind if you think this piece of garbage was a throwback to the classic John Hughes movies.

Come down. It's a good movie and as a huge John Hughes fan I totally agree with OP. Maybe you should ask Charlie for a chill-pill prescription.
