Anton's Russian Accent

Did anyone else notice Anton's slight Russian accent in the movie. It's not as obvious as in Star Trek, where it's intentional and over the top but especially at the beginning, it seemed noticeable.

Maybe it was just me...

He doesn't have an accent. He moved to the USA when he was 6 months old.

^ That doesn't mean his other family members didn't keep their Russian accents. Family members that he's around often. He could have picked it up from them, assuming he does have an accent.

Again, he doesn't have an accent. Watch some of his interviews and discover that for yourself. Never assume.

I was US born and raised. When I was 19 I was working in a call center when the caller asked "I'm sorry, this may sound weird, but are you Guyanese?" "Um, no, but my grandfather is." "You must have picked up some of his speech patterns, because I can hear it in your voice"

So yeah, you can pick up accents from close family members.

he does have a hint of an accent but it's not bad or distracting

The accent you hear is not Russian. It's probably regional American.

No, he doesn't. Watch some of his interviews. You'll discover he doesn't. Not even a hint.
