Bin -jip VS atumn , spring ......

If you liked Autumn, Spring... don't pass up Bin-Jip! It's different but equally good, you can absolutely tell that both films are made by the same director/writer.

I think "Spring, autumn..." is much better than "Iron 3".

Both of them have a lot of similarities (loneliness of the characters, silence, comical and serious situations...). But I don't think they are great movies, I find them just "easy-seeing" tales (which is not a bad thing nowadays ;-). However "Spring..." has a more interesting mystical and religious background. And beautiful photography and landscapes!

You can see Spring Summer as a more common visual approach to director's vision, but the script is dense, and very contrastant with the visuals. Bin-jip reveals himself as a more complex movie even if it begun like a minimalist one. Its story unfolds to the beautiful conclusion of the last cadre.
Both movies are very good, i won't comment on Ki-duk work, as i consider all i saw being very valuable.

Spring Summer... is more on buddhism. 3-Iron is a magical story. Both are equal masterpieces.
