Ending simplfied....Spolers

I just finished this film and really enjoyed it. I came to the boards and wanted to express what I took away from the films ending to mean..

He was executed by the guards, The film directer wanted a scene where the husband was letting the wife [by saying he is out] get her and her lover back together. The payback to every one else good or bad was only a ghost. The directer needed her to be happy and accept her husband and for him to change while she continued being with the lover, every one was happy everyone got what they wanted. The married couple got happiness as well as the lovers. She is the only one who can see him.


The reality of how far would it go in real time is a mystery, such as when the husband made love to her.

How could she make love to a ghost.

The one thing that no one talks about is he was serving time for kidnapping and breaking and entering on multiple levels so he would not have been released so soon it would have been years before he got out.
