What is it about this movie?

Why does this movie always drive me to tears?

I don't mean this in a bad way. If you would have told me that this movie would touch me as deeply as it has, I would have told you that you were insane! This movie did(and still does) reach inside of me to my core.

This movie is a truly special movie in a lot of ways. It is very moving and has an incredible message of love and redemption. That is exactly what our lives should be about.

I have to say that it is a beautiful movie.

I like what it said about you know you are over someone when you feel no need for revenge. Very true.

I rated it a 7 but it would easily have been a 9 except for the ending which was a bit unrealistic and never would have happened in real life. It was a good watch though.

This movie was horrible considering it's listed as a comedy. And this guy is trying to pull off what Eddie Murphy already did well. Not one funny part and a little demented even considering the subject line. This should have been a drama and there should have been no lame dude in a grandma suit. Would have been better with a real grandma. There's plenty of real women actresses that could have played that role better and funnier considering the content. His characters are just horrible rip offs of other shows.

sorry i didn't make it through the whole movie, but the ending was unrealistic? What about the rest of this film. It was horrible! Just god awful.

Ya know--everyone has their own personal taste. I respect that. I not only loved the movie--I loved the music. "Father Can You Hear Me?" bought me to tears. Written by who? thank you very much!
To each his own, man. I always enjoy Tyler Perry's work.

^^^Yes! This movie was very touching and moving for me too.

I absolutely loved that church scene and the voices singing. That scene really moved me to tears also. What a moving scene.

Overall, I loved this movie!

I am white and southern and I LOVED this movie. No matter how many times I see it, the church scene always makes me tear up.

Yo, the singing in the Church (near the end of the movie)... that sh!t is powerful. We all go through struggles, that's why it moves me, that's why it might move you.

In his directors commentary on the DVD, Tyler Perry talked about how it was a movie of redemption. Brian took back his wife who had redeemed herself by getting clean off drugs. Helen realized if you want revenge you're still not over what hurt you and she finally got that settled with her estranged husband and went to her sweetheart (hey you're the one I want) Before that though, her estranged came to realize what he'd done to Helen wasn't kosher and realized his "friends" were merely hangers-on.

I love this movie too. It's Tyler Perry's best one yet. Funny at times, entertaining, touching, believable, and just a great mixture of romance and drama.

Never get tired of watching it.

This is definitely one of Tyler Perry top 5 movies and the biase prejudice rating is has is completely unrealistic. I gave the film an 8 and it may be a bit high, but it's to counter all the bogus ratings that was placed on this film. This film is very touching and will have your emotions changing throughout the film. Sure Tyler in a Grandma costume as Medea isn't the best thing in the world, but he is funny at times. This film and "Why Did I Get Married"a are incredibly well written and powerful films. Don't go by the rating on the site, just watch the films for yourself.
