Okay maybe I missed something. But Brian introduced his kids to Kimberly's character as Auntie during the pinic. But Brian and Kimberly's characters arent related, because Madeas husband Is Kimberly else relative?! So she is related by marriage only?
shareshe said throughout the movie that Brian was her cousin. I imagine that she was close to them (probably her mom and Madea's husband were siblings) because she said she grew up with/was close to Brian's wife too.
I have a lot of "aunties" and "uncles" that are either older cousins or just friends of the family- that can be an alternative explanation
I think Deborah (Brian's wife) was her sister. That's how they are related.
