I missed parts of this movie (am currently watching it on TBS) and at one point Charles asks where his children are. By Helen's response, I can tell they were not with her. Who is their mother/s?

Brenda was the babies' mama and you never see the kids in the movie.

He said she had has two boys and he wanted to be involved. His wife said she had miscarriages during their marriage. Brenda, the other woman was holding one of them at his office when Helen brought him a basket on their anniversary.
