I felt sorry for Charles

Am I the only one who started feeling sorry for Charles when she threw him into the tub and after that started crying at the table?

I agreed with her slapping him and shouting at him, even letting him on his own for a couple of days (even though I started feeling sorry for him when she returned and found him there all humble).

I am not a Christian but I have feelings and I think she just went a bit too far.

And... I wonder how Charles's life continued after the film finished...

I am sorry my friend but you are going to be outnumbered on this post.

He deserved everything she did and more. Of course most people will feel a little bad for anyone unable to care for themselves, who gets dumped into water, or starved. BUT that could only help him. People like that only can changed when they get a taste of their own medicine. They usually depend on others acting too humane, and too good to get any revenge. And thats why people like Charles rarely change. They have no reason to. They know that others will always take pity on them when they're down, and not treat them in kind.

YOu've got to be kidding, he was the worst person ever and the new woman he was with told the doctors to pull the plug! What Helen did was nothing, he deserved it.

I actually felt kind of sorry for him at the end because it really did seem like he changed and wanted to continue being a better man for her. But as time went on, I just came to the opinion that even though she didn't give him a second chance, he is still a better man and can probably make other women happy. I don't feel sorry that Brenda left him and took his money, though.
