I thought she was the one who did the decent acting there.It's her best performance in my opinion.I didn't like her in aviator.I wish she had wone for this performance

anyways,this is one of my favorite underrated movies :)
It deserves at least 8.1

She was probably 6 or 7, but of course we will never know.

Very tight year in that category that year.

I hate that she missed.

I agree completely. IMO her compelling and multi-layered performance was even better than her one in "The Aviator" (saying that, she was the best of her category in 2004, so that Oscar was deserved also).

I believe maybe the voters had trouble about where to put her (leading or supporting category? ), but in fact Blanchett's performance was one of the top five female performances of the year.

In my personal opinión, she was on par with Streep in "Doubt" that year.
