Season 4 was painfully stupid (SPOILER)

Just watched the whole series over the last month on Amazon. The show was like an early prototype of Breaking Bad, with wives and broods instead of meth. The similarities mostly consisted of a main character hellbent on putting the pedal to the metal on any stupid plan he could think of, driving his family to the brink, and refusing to relax even when every sane character around him is saying "SLOW DOWN, YO!" (Aaron Paul saying "Bitch" was a smaller similarity)

But season 4. Outlandish and stupid with inferior writers and the inferior Greens as villains. But at least the Greens are dangerous, right? Wrong apparently. Knowing that Bill is in the region, they still grant a stay of execution to their victims. Then three people storm a whole armed compound in lawless Mexico. When Hollis Green is injured, not a single zealot retaliates.

Plotting 101: The higher the stakes, the more you better have the characters suffer a loss or viewers will know that you're to chicken to pull the trigger. George R.R. Martin may take this to the hilt, but these writers were cowards.
