Did anyone notice that other men treated the wives better than bill? The indian at the casino was nice to barb... the prosecutor was nice to nicki.. even ben was better with margie. WTF?

Bill was very driven to protect his family and polygamy but he wasn't very good at nurturing. I think it's kind of understandable looking at all the battles he faced.
