They spent so much time on Bill's campaign and other issues like Nicki's daughter, that they either didn't feature some of the cast from seasons 1-4 or they had reduced storylines. Bill's brother and his wife and the twin sister of his second wife were nowhere to be seen. Teeny never appeared at all. Sarah was gone and only appeared in the final episode. Ben had a reduced storyline. I would have rather had them focus on the family more. I was disappointed in season 5.

i agree and i was thinking the same thing. i actually came on here to post a similar comment.

i am rewatching the show. up to season 5 and i am finding it hard to finish the series.

it's like a completely different show. i am watching season 5 thinking. why does bill need to be a politician? why can't the show just focus on the family like in the first 3 seasons?
