how Bailey could've easily escaped the table


The table legs' width got narrower at the bottom. The rope was tied half-way up. She could've wiggled the knot to the bottom to get more slack. Also (this may not have worked too depending on her strength and angling), she could've then lifted the table leg a fraction of an inch to slide the rope out from under.
