Too high a bodycount?

Ever since I saw Texas Chainsaw 3D been re-watching the others and during this one I thought, was the body count maybe a little too high? I like a high bodycount in slasher films as much as the next guy but in the remake they say that the Hewitts killed 33 people during their killing spree and in this one, their first 36 hours or so of being in action they've already got 11, being a bit nitpicky I know.

They pile up the bodies for the sake of violence and gore. It's still years before Erin's escape, so the Hewitts have probably killed less people over the years than you'd think for a family of cannibals.

No. The low bodycounts for the rest has ALWAYS bothered me. It's nice to see that there's an actual MASSACRE in one of these.

Plus, I doubt that they killed just 33 people. The cops probably didn't find the bodies since they ATE the people!!!!!!!!!!
